The Gap
The commons are being pressured faster than the governance layer around them can form.
This is not abstract theory. These are live conditions. The ETRT exists because the world is already
moving into the space where ownership, extraction, value, and benefit-sharing are colliding.

The deep ocean still has no workable benefit-sharing framework.
The ISA closed another council session without a Mining Code in place. The governance gap around
deep-sea extraction is no longer hypothetical. The resources are valuable. The common-heritage
principle exists. The delivery architecture does not.
That is the kind of structural gap the ETRT was built to close.
January–March 2026
The orbital commons are being claimed in real time.
Competing private applications around massive orbital infrastructure are already forcing decisions
over a commons that belongs to everyone, with no neutral, benefit-sharing registry in place. The
infrastructure is accelerating faster than the rules around who benefits from it.
The Celestial Catalog and the Celestial Purity Protocol were built for exactly this pressure point.
April 2026
The legal framework for asset-backed digital instruments is being shaped right now.
This is not a future issue. The regulatory structure is being written in real time. That is why
the site has to stay honest about what is real, what is under legal review, and what is not yet
operational.
Transparency is not a weakness here. It is the only credible posture.
2025–2026
The extraction race has already started.
Critical minerals, seabed resources, orbital infrastructure, and space-resource positioning are
all moving ahead. The value is being positioned. The people are not yet in the flow of it.
The ETRT is the architecture that says they should be.
